Strange that MS said a few weeks back Divx was on the backburner, but I'm glad they realised how important it is though :yes:. I'll run stuff through my till PS3 support gets added then jump over, just as the PS3 is quieter.
One will stay downstairs, and I'll move the other upstairs :yes:. AVI is just a container, not a format and even less a codec. I don't see why, or how, it would not be supported.
Could there be some unplayable AVI files though? What about AC3 audio codecs? Would they be included? I should probably do a little more research But the fact it can read a copied disc, leads my to believe it might work. It's not the end of the world though, as streaming works fine.
